Commonwealth Soccer Club has announced that Julien Marechaux will join the club as the head coach of 98 Girls Black, and 05 Boys Blue. Before entering the coaching profession, Marechaux was a player for Paris Saint-Germain, played five years of futsal in Spain, and played in the DHR League in France.
The CSC 99 Girls Black team were a group winner at the 2014 Gateway Showcase in Wilder, Kentucky, November 14-16.
Five players from Commonwealth Soccer Club were given post-season honors in Girls High School Soccer this fall.
CSC players helped honor UK women’s soccer seniors at their last home game against Alabama on October 30.
Commonwealth SC’s 04 Boys Gold team, coached by Cliff Tappel, were finalists in the Silver division of the Kings Hammer Blue Chip Youth Invitational the weekend of October 25-26.
Commonwealth Soccer Club descended upon the greater Nashville area, with 16 of the club’s teams participating in the Tennessee SC Battleground Tournament of Champions, held in Franklin, Tennessee. Four Chargers teams were finalists.
The CSC 01 Boys Gold team, coached by Austin Moman, were the champs of the U14 Bronze Division at the Cincinnati United Cup, over the weekend of August 16th and 17th.
Commonwealth Soccer Club hosted a soccer camp for Lexington-area kids and was sponsored by the Lexington Police Activities League. The camp was hosted at Martin Luther King Park this summer for students in the second through eighth grades.
